iphone remote app sees itunes but won't connect
i had a problem with the iphone remote app where it would see itunes and appear to bind just fine, but then wouldn’t connect to the library. the culprit seems to be a fake network interface i’d set up in order to access the mac’s web server from a windows vm.
why does this cause interference? no idea. but if i disable it, remote works again.

i once saw a video in which a dash-mounted camera captures a man nodding off while driving. a moment later he awakes, petrified, and then seemingly against his will he floats into the air and flies into the back seat, where he sticks to the ceiling.
that’s what makes introspection so difficult: camera placement.
